Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Massive First Season Update – More Guns, More Maps, More Modes, More COD

The first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 kicks off on the 14th of November, and it’s packing a butt load of new content for those who have managed to work through the whole game already and are somehow Prestige Master.

The update includes a new battle pass, a ranked season, a Blackcell update, Warzone Black Ops 6 integration, tons of new maps for Warzone and Black Ops 6 multiplayer, new skins, new modes, and new weapons.

Starting with the battle pass, Call of Duty says there are over 130 pieces of unlockable content, including Blackcell content, across the 14 pages of the battle pass. Players can purchase the battle pass or remain on the free tier, which promises 2 items per page of the battle pass.

The battle pass includes multiple skins for weapons, lethal equipment, sprays, and more, and it features Sevati “Sev” Dumas from the Black Ops 6 campaign as the headlining offering.

Blackcell members will also have access to Blackcell exclusive content, including finishers, operator skins, weapon skins and free unlocks to the battle pass.

The ranked season for Black Ops 6 will officially start on the 21st of November. To play in the ranked mode, players must obtain a minimum of 50 wins in match play. The previous level 55 restriction has been removed.

The ranking system has also been updated to include 8 levels of rank, starting from bronze and ending in “top 250.” To help them progress through the ranks, each player will accumulate SR points by winning ranked matches. Losing games will result in an SR reduction.

Ranked players can expect a ranked skin for each level of rank they reach, as well as skins for grenades and melee weapons.
The top players of the “top 250” rank will earn an exclusive, flaming-skull, Ghostrider-esque skin if they manage to hold their position by the end of the season.

Warzone fans can expect the integration of Black Ops 6 to the game to take place during the Season 1 update as well. The updated Black Ops 6 Loadout system will be added to Warzone, as well as your BO6 builds and Gunsmith. Omni-movement is also included in Warzone now, so ensure you’re locked in.

In total, Warzone loadouts will now have over 170 armaments to choose from.

Warzone will also see a new map being added called Area 99, as well as the return of Urzikstan and Rebirth Island.

For full details on everything coming to Warzone, check out the official blog post from Call of Duty.

Black Ops 6 itself will also be getting five new maps and a jolly-themed version of Nuketown for the Season 1 update.

At launch, players can expect to see Hideout and Extraction, two 6v6 medium-sized maps, enter the Core map rotation while Heirloom, a smaller 2v2 or 6v6 map, will be added to the Strike list.

During the middle of the season, a remastered version of the classic Hacienda will make its way onto the Core list of maps, while a new map, called Racket, will be added to the Strike list.

The snowed-up version of Nuketown will also be added during this mid-season update.

These additional maps are indeed a much-needed update to those who have already spent hours on the short supply of maps that launched with Black Ops 6 a few weeks ago.

Players looking for new modes to join the multiplayer list can expect to see Ransack on day one of the season one launch. Ransack will see two teams head out into the map in search of gold bars and then return them to their main stash. All gold is obtainable even if it’s in your team’s stash, so this new mode will require more tactical play than the casual run and gun seen in other modes like Team Deathmatch. The team with the most gold at the end wins.

Prop-hunt, the infamous Black Ops party mode, will also make a comeback in Black Ops 6. This popular mode takes hide and seek to the next level by pitting one team of hunters against another team of props, pretending to be part of the in-game scenery and attempting to hide for as long as they can.

Call of Duty also promises a few limited-time events to pop up during the first season’s run.

If that wasn’t enough, more guns, perks and attachments will be coming to players’ loadouts through the first season as well.

Shadow is a Strategist (green) perk that allows players to hide from enemy traps and mines. At the same time, Shrapnel Radar is a Recon (blue) perk that will show you when you’ve dealt any area of effect damage to players on the map, including damage from Tacticals, Lethals, and Field Upgrades.

The Hand Cannon is a new scorestreak that will take 900 points to unlock. It is a slow-firing, one-shot pistol that boasts exceptional handling and accuracy. The scorestreak also includes medal rewards, and there are a few things more fantastic than killing enemies with each bullet from a massive pistol.

High Roller is a new Wild Card addition that can be used in 6v6 Core modes. This Wild Card will allow you to equip a fourth scorestreak to your loadout for extra destructive power.

Seven new weapons, including two new melee weapons, are being added to the game throughout the first season, too. The Krig C is a full auto assault rifle, and the Saug is a full auto SMG, both available on season 1 launch. A fully automatic shotgun, the Maelstrom, a semi-automatic sniper rifle, the AMR Mod 4, and the Cleaver, a melee weapon, will all be released during the middle of the season. The Sirin 9mm secondary weapon and the Power Drill will launch sometime during the season, Call of Duty just hasn’t said when exactly.

Alongside these weapons will be four weapon attachments. The fiery 12 Gauge Dragons Breath for shotguns will be available for shotgun players, and a new Buffer Weight Stock can be equipped to certain rifles. The XM4 and the Kompakt 92 will also get a burst fire upgrade for those who don’t like to blow their whole load in one go.

And, even though we’ve covered so much of the content already, there is still so much more coming to Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Zombies and Warzone in the upcoming season. To check all of it out in full detail, be sure to head on over to the official Call of Duty blog post. Just ensure you have filled up your water bottle because there’s a lot to get through.
