PlayStation Provides Us With Some Pre-Black Ops 6 Tips Before Launch

With just a few days before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 officially launches, PlayStation has provided some tips to help us prepare.

First, anyone who has pre-ordered the game for the PlayStation can preload the game on their consoles from today. This should ensure that as soon as the game goes live, you can dive right in without waiting. Unless there’s some sort of day-one patch…

Fingers crossed there won’t be, players keen on the new multiplayer experience from Black Ops 6 will be able to dive into a few new game modes, including a new 6v6 mode where each team has a high-value target, or HVT, that each team will need to take down in order to win.

There will also be a new 2v2 mode, and for those who enjoy a more realistic experience, Hardcore mode will be added to a few maps, where players get limited HUDs and friendly fire is activated.

Alongside 16 new maps across all the separate game modes, players will also have the option of 20 different operators to choose from to use against their online enemies. There is also an updated weapons system that should make things more intuitive for both new and old players alike.

For fans of the Zombies mode, Call of Duty will be bringing back a whole load of fan-favourite upgrades. Perk-a-Colas, Field Upgrades, Wonder Weapons, GobbleGums, Ammo Mods, and the introduction of Augments, which allow you to customise your Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades, will all be added to Black Ops 6 zombie mode. Also, while you are able to play Zombies with any operator of your choice, playing as Weaver, Grey, Carver, or Maya will drive the lore for the mode as a whole and provide a more “robust” Zombies experience.

Solo-zombie killers can also breathe a sigh of relief as a new “save” option will be added for single-player Zombie mode, provided you’re at full health, aren’t downed, dead, or actively engaged in an exfil.
