Incredible Lego Builder Just Recreated Stardew Valley, Won An Award, And Got A Surprise Visit From ConcernedApe

While you may think that Stardew Valley and Lego couldn’t be further apart, you’d be wrong. Whether it’s hours spent building your dream farm in Stardew or doing the same just with 75,000 Lego pieces, it’s the same.

Today’s news revolves around Steve Jensen, who decided their love for Stardew Valley just couldn’t be contained digitally and then spent two solid years bringing the entirety of Pelican Town to life in Lego.

Steve Jensen has been sharing this two-year journey through various Stardew Valley forums, and just this past weekend, he finally revealed the completed build at BrickCon 2024—and yes, it’s every bit as impressive as you could dream it to be.

The build is an impressive creation that covers everything from the player’s farm to JojaMart, the forest, and the beach. It even features the iconic Stardew Valley title screen in all its blocky glory.

According to an interview Steve Jensen did with PC Gamer, his favourite part was building the Hat Shop, which he made almost entirely hollow so that you can peer through the cracks and broken parts, just like an actual rundown building.

As you can imagine, Steve Jensen’s build won the People’s Choice award at BrickCon. Still, the real highlight for Steve Jensen was when Eric ConcernedApe Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley himself, made a surprise appearance.

Honestly, this whole story is the kind of wholesome news that makes you want to go build something, or plant some cauliflower.
