A New Teaser For The Next Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch Puts The Evil In Evil Ending

Next month is set to bring many glorious things, from Winter officially taking a hike to Baldur’s Gate 3 dropping the much-anticipated Patch 7. Now, we’ve spoken about Patch 7 before, but in case you missed it, one of the big things is that the game will be adding dynamic split-screen in co-op play, an official modding toolkit, and expanded and improved endings for evil characters—which is what we’re taking a deeper look at today.

Baldur’s Gate 3 studio, Larian, has just released a new and shiny patch teaser, showcasing one of the Dark Urge’s new evil endings. Let’s just say it does not disappoint. The video is only 52 seconds long, showcasing the Dark Urge standing high above a Baldur’s Gate in ruins following the game’s climactic final confrontation.

The Dark Urge is standing next to three companions. In a moment of utter serenity and madness, he raises and closes his fist, producing the telltale psionic pulse of illithid domination around his companions’ heads.

We then see the Dark Urge gesture towards the burning city below. Then we witness the three companions approach the platform’s edge before wordlessly plummeting to their deaths as a narrator says:

“Time for the final act; our tragedy has become mankind’s.”

And boy, oh boy, I couldn’t be more excited about how this is all playing out. I’ve included the video in its original form below if you want to watch it for yourself.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Baldur’s Gate 3 to get to… Hope you understand.
