Few names in video games and sports are more recognisable than that of John Madden, a football player, coach, announcer and maga troll.
Football fans everywhere will remember John Madden as once saying:
“I love to see a fat guy score.”
Why’s that, John?
“Because first you get a fat guy spike, and then you get the fat guy dance!”
That quote is from John Madden’s role in The Replacements. Now, while Madden is synonymous with Football, Nicolas Cage is associated with everything.
Late last night, it was announced that Nicolas Cage, a man who needs no introduction, will play the iconic John Madden in a film about the origin story of Madden NFL, one of the biggest video game franchises of all time.
As of now, we don’t know any further updates about the film, but it’s likely that we’ll be watching it on our screens sometime towards the end of next year.
