The OG Doom-Inspired Roguelike Is Finally Releasing On Steam

If you’ve always wondered who will be in a battle between space marines and demons, wonder no more because that’s precisely the setup for Jupiter Hell, a roguelike inspired by Doom.

For those who don’t already know, Jupiter Hell Classic has been in development for 20 years and is now gearing up for an official release on Steam.

The Steam release will include new graphics, updated mechanics and even a setting update to match the world of the more modern Jupiter Hell. The update will also include Steam Workshop support for mods.

When development on Jupiter Hell first began, the game was known as DoomRL or Doom Roguelike, and it aimed to transform classic Doom into a classic Roguelike.

However, thanks to Doom owners Zenimax, the name was changed after running into some legal issues, which led us to where we are today.

If you want to check out Jupiter Hell for yourself, you can follow the link to its Steam page here when it has a release window between now and 2025.
