Myst fans, this one is for you. Cyan Worlds has announced that the remake of Riven, a game set to be the sequel to the remake of Myst, will be released on June 25th.
This remake of the iconic old-school puzzle-adventure game promised to be not only a technological do-over of the original game but a complete remake from the ground up, complete with new characters, new puzzles, and even an expanded story.
However, the biggest draw to the Riven remake is complete freedom regarding movement. As those who played the original will know, players were previously limited to clicking through a series of static images; however, in the remake, players will be able to look and walk around as they wish.
