Tower of Fantasy 4.0 Update Brings Technological New Content

The 4.0 update for the popular gacha title Tower of Fantasy is slated for release on May 28th. It comes with a lot of new stuff for current Wanderers, including a new world and two new companions.

Starting with the new open world, Wanderers must upload their consciousness into a virtual world created by Gesthos called the Gesthos Sector. Becoming Authorizers, you will explore this new virtual world to see if you can cure the virus invasion that has infected Gesthos.

Picture a futuristic urban world “with shimmering holographic billboards, while a symphony of aircraft dances across the azure skies.” Authorizers can discover and explore this new world through puzzling exploration quests.

Newcomers to the game won’t need to play through all the previous chapters to access the Gesthos Sector if they choose not to.

The new urban world brings along with it a host of new characters, too, featuring two new playable companions. Ace and Roslyn, one a Batman-style, never-hurt-anybody-while-committing-crimes thief and the other, a police officer hot Aces tracks.

Roslyn is set to be a Volt-DPS simulacrum, wielding a weapon crafted from her grandfather’s ship anchor called “Calm Waters.” Utilising this weapon alongside a short blade displays what Tower of Fantasy is calling a “ballet of chaos” on the battlefield.

As for Ace, akin to her mysterious ways, all we know about her is that she wields a baseball bat called “Poppin’ Stick” and is the leader of the phantom thief organisation known only as “Wednesday.”

Players of the popular MMORPG can also expect Lan to return to the SSR pool, as well as two new vehicles, one a giant Dandelion that can be floated on along with the breeze, the other a two-seater sports car that will have you Hotwheelsing your way around the new, technologically advanced world.

If you haven’t yet picked up the game, Tower of Fantasy is free to download for PlayStation, PC, Apple and Android.
