The next Batman Arkham game is being prepped to be an exclusive title—not to PlayStation or Xbox but to the Meta Quest 3.
Titled Batman: Arkham Shadow, the next game in the series will allow players to virtually don the caped crusaders suit themselves to protect Gotham.
The teaser trailer, while short, does seem to hint at who the main antagonist of the game will be, as it focuses quite thoroughly on rats. Otis Flannegan, more commonly known as Ratcatcher, is a somewhat minor villain on the Gotham roster but still manages to plague the city. His ability to train and communicate with rats means he can gather hordes of the creatures to do his bidding.
To add to the short 50-second teaser, Geoff Keighley posted on X that more on Batman: Arkham Shadow would be revealed at this year’s Summer Game Fest on Friday, the 7th of June.
Those who are still weary of anything DC-related, coming off the back of the latest Suicide Squad game, can perhaps rest a little easy, as this game will be developed by Camoflaj, the same company that developed Iron Man VR. With Iron Man VR’s more than positive reviews to date, this next superhero VR game will likely be one for the books, albeit only in the library of those who own a Meta Quest.
