In case you need a refresher, because let’s not joke around, it’s been a long, long while:
Three years ago, the ever-elusive Telltale Games reared their perfectly gorgeous head to reassure desperate fans that The Wolf Among Us 2 was still in the works. And then… nothing.
In the years since nothing else has been said or even whispered about The Wolf Among Us 2.
Via The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley, Telltale Games released not one, not two, not even three, but four new images from the upcoming game to offer proof of life.
In an X on X, Geoff Keighley shared the images and a statement saying that The Wolf Among Us 2 is “now in production.”
It is more than a little strange that the game is only in production now, especially considering it was first announced in 2019, just after Telltale was reopened under new management.
But late is better than never. The Wolf Among Us 2 is currently in development, even if it’s still a ways off, thanks to the company’s shift from Unreal Engine 4 to UE5.
Telltale also offered a little bit more insight on The Wolf Among Us forums:
We’ve been quiet because we’ve been heads down, focusing on the promise of #TWAU2. While we can’t give a big update yet, here’s a little something for you: In-progress shots from the current build. The work continues. The Fabletown gang will be back.
For now, that’s all the information we have about The Wolf Among Us 2, but it’s more than we had a week ago, and honestly, regardless of when the game is planned for release, we’re excited.
