The Warhammer fantasy setting has some of the most epic tales, lore, and games within its giant universe. From fantastic battles atop your table to first-person combat in Vermintide and Spacemarine, there’s little that doesn’t come from Warhammer that makes you want to dig a little deeper into the story of it all.
Now, moving a piece of that story to the next chapter, Warhammer is releasing Age of Sigmar 4th Edition.
New editions obviously mean many changes are coming to the tabletop game. Modular rules, new boxsets, more terrain and new mechanics are just a few of these changes, but one of the biggest will be the older model sets that are being vaulted.
Watching the trailer for the new edition shows a heavy focus on the Stormcast and Skaven armies, so it would make sense to think these would be the two most significant factions affected, and you’d be right. However, many other factions are calling in for retirement as the Skaven attempt to take over the mortal realms.
