The Quinfall is an upcoming MMORPG by the Turkish development team Vawraek Technologies, and the current consensus for the game leans heavily towards that of The Day Before. With claims like a world map ten times the size of World of Warcraft, sixteen different classes and only three years of development time, the MMO community were hesitant at best. In addition to that, there was the heavy use of purchased assets in all of the game’s previous trailers, and it’s quite easy to see The Quinfall as yet another cobbled-together asset pack made for a quick buck.
However, Vawraek Technologies has now released two more gameplay trailers featuring some of the in-game systems and showing off more of the game as it is, rather than talking around it behind an interview or being quick cut in a reveal trailer.
The first trailer shows off the game tutorial, character creation system, and housing system, which adds to the whole “making it your own” experience. This video is the first to come from The Quinfall that really gives those excited about the game an opportunity to see what they might be in for should they still choose to buy it.
The second of the two videos shows off the in-game clan system and menus as well as expanding on the building aspect of the game.
The wholly 20 minutes of new footage is a step in the right direction for the studio as they try to remove themselves from the “Fakest MMO Ever Made” title that has been lingering in the game’s shadow.
The footage has been released to coincide with the second closed beta for the game, hoping to motivate more players to test the game out before release and provide valuable community feedback. This second closed beta will be larger than the first, allowing for 10,000 players to tackle the massive world that has been created, and, this time, there is no NDA blocking players from sharing the content they gather from the game either.
This should give us all a much clearer picture of what The Quinfall really is.
If you’re interested in signing up for the closed beta, all you need to do is fill in the form here. The sign-ups are closing on the 10th of April, which gives you just this weekend to think it through and decide if the game is something you’re willing to spend some time on.
