It looks like Bend Studio, the very same team behind the hit, story-driven titles like Days Gone and Uncharted, is planning for their next game to be live service.
A job post from PlayStation Global is looking for a Lead Project Manager for Bend Studio that requires experience in “Hands-on game development experience in leadership roles shipping AAA live service games.” amongst other things.
We already know that the new game coming out of Bend Studio will not be a sequel to the open-world zombie title that many fans were hoping for but will instead be an open-world multiplayer experience using similar systems to the aforementioned game.
We haven’t heard much from Bend Studio about the new game other than a simple “We cooking” reply to a Twitter post early in January of this year.

This latest bit of information does give us the smallest hint about the type of multiplayer game we can expect, but it does nothing for the style, story or even genre.
For now, we will just have to rely on a little bit of caffeine and our imaginations.
Here at the NAG office, we recently took Days Gone for a spin on one of Acer’s Spatial Labs laptops, giving the game a whole new dimension. Check out our thoughts on the technology here.
