Announced about a year ago, the long-awaited Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is finally getting its first official trailer.
The trailer is said to be three minutes long, which means we aren’t going to get an in-depth look at what the DLC will hold, but more just a taste of what we can expect.
The first trailer for #ELDENRING Shadow of the Erdtree will be revealed in 16 hours. Join us at 15:00 UTC.https://t.co/vdG8dJvcet pic.twitter.com/lBbKJYxW2z

Of all the things I hope will be shown in the trailer, a release date is at the top of my list.
Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel will air the trailer at 16:30 this afternoon, directly after the Nintendo Direct planned for 16:00. As of writing this, there are already over 16,000 viewers wagging their chins in the live chat while waiting for the video to drop.
As nothing has been announced concerning the content of the DLC, all we have to go on are fan theories. Fans predicted that the character in the artwork initially released for the DLC is Miquella, atop Torrent. Miquella is the twin brother of Melania, and the son of Marika and Radagon. The only glimpse fans have had of Miquella before was of him inside Mohg’s cocoon, yet he plays quite an essential part in the game’s lore, meaning the likelihood of more content being released around him is pretty high.
I guess we’ll have to wait until later this afternoon to find out. With this announcement and Nintendo Direct scheduled afterwards, it will be an exciting afternoon for gamers.
