Helldivers 2 is, in a word, chaotic. It can be a nightmare to manage everything, from bugs wanting to eat your face for breakfast to your teammates trying to bomb you to bits and still completing objectives before the timer runs out.
One of the ways to make everything just a little easier is to have the best load-out possible, and figuring out just what that is can be a challenge – but fret not, we’ve got your back.
We’ve put in the blood, sweat, and tears to make this guide happen.
So, if you’re looking for some load-outs to take into the enter galactic warzone with you, here are our favourite three load-outs of Helldivers 2 for you to test.
And always remember, while every one of you is equally important, Helldivers with good load-outs are more important.
Bang Bang, You Shot Me Down
- Primary: AR-23 Liberator
- Secondary: P-2 Peacemaker
- Grenade: G-12 High Explosive
- Armour Perk: Med Kit
- Stratagems: Orbital 120MM HE Barrage, Eagle Strafing Run, Machine Gun, Supply Pack
Let’s be honest: most of us don’t go into a game of Helldivers 2 with only one kind of enemy in mind – we just run in, looking to spread democracy while hoping to make it out alive.
The AR-23 Liberator assault rifle is an excellent equip-it-and-forget-it gun. It allows you to target bugs from a distance when using the ADS mode, hold back a charging bug with the full-auto mode, or spray and pray while running for your life.
As for the Stratagems, you will never go wrong with the Supply Pack because it’s a way to make sure that you and your teammates can resupply yourselves with everything you need instead of just running around desperately hoping to find that one bullet or stim that will turn everything in your favour.
Bang Bang, I Hit The Ground
- Primary: AR-23P Liberator Penetrator
- Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
- Grenade: G-12 High Explosive
- Armour Perk: Engineering Kit
- Stratagems: Grenade Launcher, Supply Pack, Orbital Precision Strike, Eagle Cluster Bomb
More often than not, while playing Helldivers 2, you’ll want to take out bug nests as fast and effectively as possible. Trust me.
So if you’re looking to hurt those bugs where it hurts the most, then you’ll want to… run and pray and also make sure you have the AR-23P Liberator Penetrator assault riffle and the P-19 Redeemer.
These will let you stay alive long enough to go up close and personal with the nests, but what you really want is the Grenade Launcher.
Grenade Launchers can close bug nests from range and destroy Spore Stacks, and combining this with the Eagle Cluster Bomb is a great way to eliminate large groups of enemies and your teammates at once.
Bang Bang, My Teammate Shot Me Down
- Primary: SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary
- Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
- Grenade: G-10 Incendiary
- Armour Perk: Engineering Kit
- Stratagems: Flamethrower, Eagle Napalm Airstrike, Incendiary Mines, Shield Generator Pack
Not only is fire powerful against bugs, but it’s also just a crazy amount of fun to play with – and your mom’s not here to tell you not to.
This build works by letting you stack as much fire as possible on your Helldiver so that you can be the little pyromancer you always dreamed of being.
The SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary is a shotgun that will burn all the bugs you can hit; the G-10 Incendiary grades don’t go bang so much as burn, and taking the Armour Pack lets you take even more burn bombs.
And if that isn’t enough burny-burny for you, then taking the Flamethrower, which will let you light up all the bugs like it’s Christmas, is the obvious choice of Stratagem.
Finally, the Shield Generator Pack will let you mitigate some of the damage you’ll be taking by invertedly burning yourself because we all know most of the damage you take in Helldiver 2 is caused by you and your teammates.
Obviously, in a game like Helldivers 2, your loadout and how you want to play the game will be incredibly personal to you.
