Since the initial reveal of Assassin’s Creed Red back in 2022, which in itself was only a brief teaser trailer, little else about the game has been made public, leading to speculation about the game running rampant online, with many fans excited for the first mainline Assassin’s Creed game to be set in Asia.
Over the years, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has taken players to several iconic settings. Still, almost as soon as fans finished the first game, they’ve been asking the franchise to visit Feudal Japan.
Assassin’s Creed Red promises to answer those prayers by letting players explore the iconic location. Still, until now, that’s all we’ve known about the project.
Thanks to an X from Ubisoft partner and games journalist BunnyTheVillain, a new, hopefully extended trailer for Assassin’s Creed Red will be heading our way in May, followed by a gameplay showcase in July.
The X in question also boldly claims the game is set for a November release. While it doesn’t specify where this information comes from, it does claim to come from a trusted source.

Assuming this information turns out to be accurate, 2024 will be another massive year for fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. However, as always, it’s important to remember that this is just a leak, and as of writing, Ubisoft has yet to confirm or deny anything.
But now I want to hear from you. Are you as excited about Assassin’s Creed Red as I am? Let me know in the comments.
