Can you feel it? The static in the air? That’s probably because Bandai Namco has recently updated the Elden Ring playlists for its various YouTube channels. You might be reading that and wondering why a playlist update is a big deal, so let me break it down.
Suppose the rumours are to be believed, and I think they should be, this update is leading up to a big reveal trailer for the game’s highly-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Considering the overwhelming success of Elden Ring, it’s no surprise that fans have eagerly been waiting for more, and seeing that romSoftware is known for releasing high-quality DLC expansions for its games; fans have been on the edge of their seats even before any DLC was announced.
Unfortunately for many, since the initial announcement of the DLC, very little information has been revealed about it, but that might be changing soon.
Thanks to a spot by an X user called Ziostorm, we now know that Bandai Namco recently updated its Elden Ring YouTube playlists. However, with no new videos visible, this has fueled speculation that an Elden Ring DLC reveal trailer could have been added as a private, unlisted video, and the publisher is just waiting for a specific day to release it to the masses.
The Bandai Namco EU Elden Ring playlist that includes trailers received an interesting update on Jan 4th.

In light of recent DLC news and rumors, this gets me very excited. *Perhaps* this update was the DLC trailer waiting to go live. pic.twitter.com/JWrpnm2S0u— Ziostorm (@Ziostorm1) January 15, 2024
To further fuel this rumour, various leaks have pointed to the Elden Ring DLC launching in February 2024 to coincide with the open-world game’s 2nd anniversary. Still, it seems more likely that that is when the full trailer will finally be revealed.
But as with all rumours, fans must wait until Bandai Namco and FromSoftware decide to share more information.
But I do want to know from you: do you think there is merit to the playlist being updated? Let me know in the comments.
