Everyone’s Favourite Horror Game Until Dawn Is Being Turned Into A Movie

In exciting news for horror fans everywhere, the next big PlayStation horror game to get a game-to-screen adaption is the award-winning Until Dawn.

And the cherry on the cake is the team responsible for this adaptation, with filmmaker David F. Sandberg from Shazam! fame and screenwriter Gary Dauberman best known for his work on horror staples Annabelle and The Nun, heading up the project.

For those who don’t know, Until Dawn is an interactive cinematic horror game first released in 2015. The game follows eight friends who are brought together at an idyllic and remote mountain retreat before everything starts going pear-shaped.

The game is known for its brutal live-or-die scenarios. It features everything that a good horror should, from a remote location to teenage angst, a mysterious killer, a less-than-reliable cable car and some eerie mines.

A large part of the story focuses on the relationships between the group as they fight through their ever-growing fear as they try to survive until Dawn.

As of writing, the logline for the upcoming adaption is still being kept under wraps, but it has been announced that it will be an R-rated love letter to the horror genre, centring on an ensemble cast.

The Until Dawn adaption joins other PlayStation game-to-screen hits like The Last of Us, Gran Turismo and Twisted Metal.

But now I want to know from you: Are you excited for Until Dawn to become a movie, and would you like to see Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek reprise their roles? Let me know in the comments.
