There is no easy way to say this without giving away my age. Still, I clearly remember when demos were commonplace, if not expected, for almost every game release.
However, times have changed, and now, when a game comes out with a demo, it’s something newsworthy – which is why it’s so great that for the upcoming Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Ubisoft has gone ahead and released a free demo.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the first new entry into the franchise since 2010. While the full version of the game will be released on the 18th of January, the demo can be downloaded and played right now – entirely for free.
For those wondering what the demo includes, it’s a collection of carefully selected sections from the game, with early unlocks of time powers and amulets, to show the main gameplay features while not spoiling the story.
This means if you’re looking to see if the feel of the game suits you but don’t want to spoil the story, this is the perfect way to do just that since the demo jumps between different sections of the game, progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full game.
It’s also worth noting that The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown demo is an 11GB download and is available to download on nearly every platform Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on, namely:
Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Store.
