Another Record Broken For Fortnite – To The Surprise Of No One

In news that should surprise no one, Fortnite has just broken yet another record. This time, Fortnite’s Save the World game mode is the one we’re talking about because it just reached an all-time active player high.

When Fortnite first debuted, it took almost no time to take over the world and become one of the most popular games ever. And back then, the Battle Royale mode was supposed to be just an addition to Fortnite, while Save the World was the core game mode.

However, as popular as the game became, Save the World never carried the punch Epic initially intended; as such, it never really had the player count compared to the Battle Royale.

These numbers meant that Epic shifted more and more of its focus over to the Battle Royale, which meant even fewer players dabbled in Save the World – until now.

Yesterday, the 12th of November, Save the World peaked at over 50,000 active players, likely due to many players flocking to the game for Season OG, which already saw the Battle Royale mode break its player count record earlier this week.

Season OG is one of the most popular seasons Fortnite has had in recent memory and has attracted thousands of gamers, new and returning, to flock to the game and also give Save the World another try.

The spike in popularity of the PvE game mode has renewed hope that Epic Games will start giving attention to the game mode again instead of just throwing all its resources behind Battle Royale and Creative modes. However, only time will tell if this is the case.

It’s worth noting that gamers keen to give Save the World will need to be willing to part with one cash as the mode isn’t free. While Epic initially promised that Save the World would be free once Fortnite left early access, like Disney Dreamlight Valley, that never happened.

Currently, players can pick up the mode with Untask’d Courier Pack for R192.
