After 16 years and not even a single comma, Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw is quitting Zero Punctuation.
Known for his quick-fire and often abrasive commentary during his game reviews, Croshaw announced that he has resigned from The Escapist and Zero Punctuation. This news, along with the announcements of several other colleagues from The Escapist, comes after Nick Calandra, the team’s editor-in-chief, was fired from The Escapist by Gamurs.
Today, I formally resigned from The Escapist and Gamurs. I don’t have the rights to Zero Punctuation, but whatever happens you’ll be hearing my voice again soon, in a new place. Join this discord for updates in the coming days: https://t.co/Kdmb5biPDN

While Croshaw does mention that the rights to Zero Punctuation remain in the hands of Gamurs and The Escapist, he does mention that you will be hearing his voice “soon”. And that soon was a lot sooner than we had expected.
Calandra, Croshaw and what seems like the rest of the team that left The Escapist have already started on their new project called Second Wind.
Tomorrow at 11 AM CT @YahtzeeCroshaw and @nickjcal will be live on Second Wind discussing our plans, when content will launch and more.
Patreon is already live to help support our efforts. https://t.co/tcGBxHm1m3
Thanks for an amazing day 0. the support is incredible to see.

With a Patreon already set up and loads of community support behind them, it seems like Gamurs might be filing this one in the “oopsie” cabinet.
