The Day Before is an MMO, post-apocalyptic survival game that has been on quite a few people’s radars for a couple of years now. In fact, back in January of this year, it reached the top of Steams Wishilist rankings. However, it suddenly disappeared from Steam after a copyright claim was filed, and Fntastic, the developer of the game, had to push back the March release date.
In a post over on X, The Day Before states that they have finally won that copyright battle, with a calendar app no less, and Valve would be quickly restoring their Steam page. Which they have.

They also announced a few other things in the post, though. One is that the game has been pushed back by almost a month, which I guess everybody saw coming, and the other is that the game would initially launch in Early Access at $39, around R700.
The comments are a bit of a mixed bag of heavy suspicions and cautious optimism. Some are concerned that a game that’s been in development for nearly 5 years is launching into Early Access. Others claim that the price tag for an Early Access game is substantially high, considering the game has been developed by “volunteers”. Put all these comments aside, though, and you’ll see that the game has once again grabbed the top spot on Steams Wishlist rankings.
At the end of it all, our best bet seems to be to hang on for a little and see if Fntastic will heed the comments and actually end up delivering the game on the 7th of December. Only time will tell.
