X, or the artist formerly known as Twitter, has been on quite a wild ride over the past few months, but, predictably so, it’s not over.
Musk’s latest addition to the growing list of things he wants ‘X’ to be is a live streaming service.
Watch out, Twitch, Musk is on the hunt!
There have been two test runs so far of this new live-streaming service, both by Musk himself and both times he was playing Diablo 4. The first stream was done over on a subaccount called @cyb3rgam3r420.
The 52-minute stream, of course, didn’t go without any hitches, but what would a real stream be if it all went perfectly anyway? After a little bit of assistance in the beginning, Musk was able to stream himself smashing through a dungeon and explain the details to his Diablo build.

The second stream, done over on Musk’s main account, had a few more teething problems. With constant flickering and a couple of times where “The broadcast upped sound frequency by 4 kHz”, not everything went according to plan. However, Musk was still able to amass over 16 million views on his 40-minute livestream

Musk says that the issues faced on the second stream are “easy to fix”, and we’re more than likely going to see another livestream pop up on his account pretty soon.
While I don’t see X becoming the streamer’s choice any time soon, there is some value in being able to host a live video to your followers, so I’m going to be watching this space closely.
Would you stream on X given the opportunity? Let us know in the comments below.
