Tencent Secures The Rights For The Mobile Edition Of Blue Protocol

Tencent, the gaming juggernaut that has fast become the world’s biggest gaming company, has just secured the rights to develop and publish the mobile edition of Bandai Namco’s hugely successful Blue Protocol.

It’s unclear when Tencent will debut Blue Protocol’s mobile game, but it has already assembled a development team. Blue Protocol will join other Tencent mobile adaptations, like Call of Duty and PUBG mobile.

In June, the PC version of Blue Protocol launched in Japan, and it’s currently the largest-budget online role-playing game that’s free to play and relies on in-game purchases for monetization.

Blue Protocol drew in over 600,000 players in the first week of release, including 200,000 simultaneous connections.

The game is set to debut in the Western markets thanks to Amazon’s gaming division next year. It will be released simultaneously across PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
