Starfield Tips And Tricks: Do This One Simple Thing To Roll In The Credits

It’s almost time. The stars have been aligning, and the universe has come together to declare that it’s only two days until fans worldwide can take to the skies in Starfield.

But while many of you might be eager to jump in with reckless abandon, you’d be remiss to ignore the game’s outpost system – especially in the game’s early hours.

Much like Bethesda’s beloved Fallout franchise’s settlement system, Starfield comes with the option to create and customise outposts. Using this feature, players can put down roots and make their forever mark on various resource-rich planets – and, as a result, get those credits rolling in.

Finding a way to generate credits is vital to your success in Starfield, as it’s the only way for you to craft your ship into a formidable space-faring machine. A great way to do this is by building an outpost as soon as possible.

The outpost you build doesn’t need to be huge or overly complex, but you’ll want some storage options, an Iron auto-miner and power. Once you have those things, you should be able to set up an excellent little passive income engine.

Once you have everything up and going, the game will automatically generate resources for you, which equates to pure profit in terms of credits. The same can also be done for water and aluminium.

Unlike the Bethesda games that have come before, you don’t have to unlock a quest to start your outpost. Instead, all you need to do is land on a planet, fire up your scanner, and create your outpost by following the prompts on your HUD.

Later in the game, players will get the option to connect various outposts set up on multiple planets together, but to start with, having a constant supply of Iron, Aluminum, and Water is a surefire way to make sure you roll in those credits.
