Dark and Darker, the PvP dungeon crawler that seems to attract drama and trouble wherever it goes, finally has a fight that won’t land it back in the courtroom.
The game has been on a seemingly endless rollercoaster ride ever since becoming the most wish-listed game during Steam Next Fest, only to be then dragged down by accusations of asset theft by publisher Nexon, had their offices raided by police and got Dark and Darker removed from Steam.
Dark And Darker has found themselves needing to seriously clamp down on the hoards of cheaters that have flocked to the game since it hit early access a couple of weeks ago.
Using Discord, Ironmace developer Graysun has this to say about the situation:

“Right now, we are fighting a difficult fight against cheaters as we gather information with Dark and Darker’s anti-cheat tech Ironshield.
The fight against cheating is a serious priority for us, and to further support our community, we will offer a Discord account you can directly message with your evidence of cheating for the next 30 days.
Please use this method instead of contacting other Ironmace staff directly through Discord Messages for the next 30 days.”
Ironshield is a Discord bot, and players are encouraged to submit video evidence of cheating along with the cheater’s name and messages.
This feels more like a way to give Ironmace a break to figure out how they will handle the crisis without having to respond to players’ complaints individually.
What are your thoughts on all this? Let me know in the comments.
