Get a Taste of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Live this Evening

With all the recent fighting over Call of Duty between Sony and Microsoft, it’s refreshing to be writing something a little more exciting.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is being officially revealed in-game this evening at 19h30, and while info is still scarce, here’s what we do know so far:

A blog post on the Call of Duty website explains how Modern Warfare 3 will be the first “direct sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare [2]”. This means that the team at Sledgehammer Games have put a lot of effort into continuing the storyline from the previous title, 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, to be specific.

Hopefully, this will allow players to dive deeper into the characters and their stories and start growing connections with them, similar to the connections players have with Captain John Price.

The Sledgehammer team seem to be quite proud about being able to create a “back-to-back” sequel for the Modern Warfare series, and they have “set their sights” on a yearly COD “experience”. Hopefully, this only means good things for the series.

The team have also announced “Carry Forward”, which will allow players to carry over their weapons, progressions and inventory from Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare Zombies, which they’re calling “the largest Zombies offering to date.”.

We will also be getting a new all-in-one access point to the Call of Duty franchise in Sledgehammer’s new offering called Call of Duty HQ. This will include Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, the new Modern Warfare 3 and all future COD games, giving players the ability to access whichever game and game mode they would like to play from a single launcher.

To get access to the Modern Warfare 3 in-game reveal event, all you have to do is drop in Al Mazrah from 19h30 this evening in Call of Duty Warzone.

We’ll be keeping our eyes on the radar as more Modern Warfare 3 details get dropped.
