Marvel Comics has just revealed a brand new Alien comic series that will follow a group of humans who should know better, heading off into deep space to an area home to the deadly nightmare fuel of everyone’s favourite Alien, the Xenomorph.
Dubbed Alien #1, the series will build off the current Alien mini-series series by Declan Shalvey and Andrea Broccardo, ending on the 16th of August with Alien #5.
Alien #1 will debut on the 11th of November and will take place with the same team at the helm. The story will take place across two time periods, with flashback scenes of the horrors that came before in each issue.

The series will let readers learn more about the mistakes and goals of the first mission in these flashbacks, which will help them uncover the full scope of the horrors in which the present-day crew have found themselves.
Declan Shalvey released a statement alongside the new series announcement:
“It’s such a joy to continue to build out our own little corner of Marvel Comics’ Alien universe with this new ‘Descendant’ story arc. We’re building on what we’ve done before (with some nods to previous stories) and get to dig a bit deeper into this arc (both figuratively and literally). It’s also a real treat for me to draw a section of the story.”
Alien #1 will launch on the 11th of November, 2023.
