Alright, it’s official. Call of Duty wins FPS of the year, everything else is out.
In their next season 5 battle pass, which went live last night, you will be able to get Merlin, a kitted-out, sidekick German Shepard that comes into play when you do a finishing move.
The rest of the time Merlin is strapped to your belt, probably sniffing your pockets for treats.
I know what you’re thinking though, and don’t worry, Merlin is completely safe in his slick Blackcell uniform. Not a lick of harm can be done to the pupper, you can breathe easy.
Merlin will be usable in Call of Duty’s multiplayer mode and both Warzone’s battle royale and DMZ modes.
The BlackCell premium upgrade comes with sleek-looking black and gold armour, weapon and vehicle skins to match your new suave-looking buddy.
The premium upgrade does come at a hefty cost, R474 to be exact. While you get 1100 COD points back instantly it’s still quite a bit of money to shell out for a few cosmetic upgrades.
Merlin looks worth it though, I mean, look at those puppy dog eyes and that tongue that hangs out to the side!
