Rockstar Games is in the process of adding a bunch of new and exciting content to Red Dead Online for this month which will offer players brand-new challenges to discover and participate in until September.
The update will also offer exclusive rewards and bonuses for players who log into Red Dead Online and play during August.
News of this update comes as a surprise. Just a year ago, in July 2022, Rockstar Games announced that Red Dead Online would no longer be receiving support as the studio had reallocated resources to working on the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Despite no longer receiving support, Red Dead Online still has a strong, dedicated player base, and this new content update is what the game needs to draw old players back and convince new ones to jump in.
Any players who complete Free Roam Events in August will receive double experience points, money and other rewards.
The missions will depend on each Red Dead Online player’s honour level and will be handed out by new characters scattered worldwide.
There will also be a new telegram from J that will reveal new content for players to discover sometime throughout the month.
The update will also bring a new community-inspired outfit to the game, inspired by YouTuber JillyBeany’s custom Red Dead Redemption outfits.
Will you jump back into Red Dead Online to experience this new content? Let me know in the comments.
