I’ve been hankering for a new RTS to just spend hours upon hours playing and I’m hoping that Gord is that RTS.
Gord is a survival RTS set in a dark fantasy realm inspired by Salvic Folklore where the player will complete quests that shape the personalities and traits of their tribe. While survival is the main objective, the game entices you to explore beyond the meaningless safety of your Gords walls and encounter the beasts and darkness that await you.
The cinematic trailer paints a dark and eerie picture that sends tingles down my spine, but the Covenant team have also just released a new teaser trailer featuring, what seems to be an in-game boss of sorts, Zmij, The Prince of the Underworld.
You’ll notice that in the cinematic trailer, we get a glimpse of Zmij as well and it seems like he has the ability to convert your own tribesmen to fight for him instead, blessed with some of his power.
I can’t wait for this gruesome take on a survival RTS to launch on the 17th of August, I’ve even added it to my pre-order list, even though the internet says we’re not allowed to do that.
