Ask any Overwatch 2 player; they will tell you just how essential skins are to the game. You can’t play with the same enthusiasm when your champion runs around in their default setup. Thankfully, players can now grab a Legendary Tracer skin without paying a single dime until the 27th.
This free skin is a big deal, as Overwatch 2 has been stingy with giving away skins. While the original Overwatch used loot boxes to dish out cosmetics, no such system was carried over into Overwatch 2.
In fact, one of the biggest criticisms of Overwatch 2, in general, comes down to the sky-high prices of buying skins and the severe lack of obtaining them in any other way, which is why Season 5 of Overwatch 2 looks to be the biggest and best season yet.
To celebrate the start of the new season, players can grab a Legendary Sprinter Tracer skin from the in-game store for the low price of zero coins, but they only have until the 27th to do so.

To claim the skin, all players need to do is visit the in-game store, find the skin and then smash that purchase button like a rockstar. After the 27th more free items will become available to claim, with the Valkyrie Wings weapon charm being next on the free-to-purchase list.
Season 5 of Overwatch 2 also brings a new season pass that offers players a wide variety of themed cosmetics. While many of these are tied to the paid versions of the battle pass, some exceptions can be earned and unlocked at no additional cost just by playing through the season.
