New week, new bug; what else is new? Today’s big game-breaking issue is in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and the development team is currently investigating it.
In short, the issue revolves around crafting materials in the action-RPG growing legs and disappearing. Now I don’t need to tell anyone who plays the game just how necessary crafting materials are in any of the Monster Hunter games, but in case I do, they’re pretty damn important.
As with most modern video games, bugs, issues, and glitches are commonplace in the Monster Hunter games. However, considering how vital crafting is in the game, having your materials up and disappear on you is a genuine issue.
The issue is so problematic that Capcom took to Twitter to announce they were investigating the problem and offer some tips on avoiding this happening to you.
Known Issue – Disappearing Materials
The team have identified a bug in #Sunbreak that can cause some materials to disappear in a specific circumstance on all platforms.
We're currently investigating a fix for this issue.

According to Capcom, this issue has only happened under a specific circumstance, when players choose materials or armour spheres while forging and upgrading equipment or crafting decorations. If players choose not to craft and leave the screen, their materials will be lost to the abyss forever.
To ensure this doesn’t happen to you, Capcom suggests players not cancel their crafting, and if they do accidentally close the screen, they should not, under any circumstances, produce any decorations.
At the moment, the feedback from the community on Twitter hasn’t been great, but that’s likely due to this issue being the straw that broke the camel’s back, as players have already been waiting for Capcom to fix a problem concerning monster aggression in the game.
Now we want to know whether you play Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. And if so, what are your thoughts on these recent issues? Let us know.
