For fans of retro games and the nostalgia they conjure, the classic library with the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus is a must-have. Now the service is getting even better as the May 2023 bundle will launch classic trophy support – at long last.
For those who don’t already know, PlayStation Plus is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Pass, and it comes with various tiers and benefits. For example, PlayStation Plus Premium allows subscribers to access multiple PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2 and PSP games at no additional cost.
Now with the additional trophy support coming to these older titles, players can anticipate Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light and Pursuit Force to have trophies from day one already, as well as the new games like Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Ape Academy 2 automatically releasing with full trophy support.
While trophies aren’t a massive pull for everyone, Sony is also adding a bunch of new games to their PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers today, including Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Evil Within 2, Thymesia, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs: Legion and Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered.
