Fortnite fans better make sure they’re sitting down for this one because this is just in; changes are coming—big ones. Fortnite has announced that a few substantial changes will come to the game in the next patch, specifically harvesting and materials.
These changes will allow players to manage their resources wisely when building walls, stairs, and other structures [Lame! No build mode 4 Life – Ed]. Over the last couple of years, Fortnite has far expanded beyond its simple battle royale game at launch.
As Fortnite prepares for v24.20, some balance changes will come to the game. Many of these balances will change how players choose to use their resources. Currently, in Arena, there is a cap of 500 for materials, which will also be implemented in other game modes.
However, harvest rates will be boosted to compensate for the reduced material cap. Players will also drop 50 of each type of material when they are killed going forward.
This means that players will now have fewer materials at their disposal to build structures to get into a stronger position during combat, so there will be far more strategic resource management coming to the game with this new patch.
The v24.20 update is set to arrive in Fortnite on the 16th of May. What do you think of these changes? Let us know in the comments.
