It’s been a good few weeks in the gaming community, with hackers, bots, and general scumbag cheaters finally being held accountable. While for many of us, it’s long overdue; the adage ‘better late than never’ was created just for a moment such as this.
The latest game to start taking out the trash is Apex Legends, with Respawn announcing that over 3,100 cheaters have been removed. This newest wave of bans comes after a recent announcement from Respawn that they plan to add notable improvements to the cheat detection mechanisms they utilise.
🔨Ban wave completed 🔨
We've just banned roughly 3,100 players colluding in Ranked matches to trade kills for Ranked Points earned.
As always, if you encounter a cheater, please report them via our in-game tool.

On the official Apex Legends Twitter account, it was announced that the current ban wave has concluded. According to Respawn, the accounts removed from the game colluded in Ranked matches to trade kills to earn Ranked Points.
Just a week ago, Respawn detailed the changes players could expect to see when Season 17 of Apex Legends drops. According to Respawn, many tweaks and changes will be implemented to prevent players from colluding and kill farming.
Apex Legends is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
