Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Kills Its Own Release Date

The upcoming DC supervillain action game by Rocksteady, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has turned its sights to its own release date, and after an overwhelmingly negative reveal at the PlayStation State of Play event back in February, the game has a new release date of 2 February 2024.

Now this release date might not sound too far away after all, but many of us have now reached our parent’s ages where time flies by, and it was only Christmas yesterday. However, this is a game that was initially announced way back in August 2020.

When the game was first announced, many fans were confused as to why Rocksteady would move away from its highly regarded Batman: Arkham series to instead create a four-player co-op focused shooter set in Metropolis, and there was also a lot of talk about whether or not the game would follow the lead of Crystal Dynamics’ poorly received Marvel’s Avengers.

Still, development went forward, and with an original release window of early 2022, fans wouldn’t have long to wait. That was before the 26 May 2023 delay and the latest, 2 February 2024 delay. The game’s new nine-month delay is undoubtedly a response to the adverse reaction to its gameplay reveal, and only time will tell if it makes any difference at all.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is expected to launch on 2 February 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S… supposedly.
