Last night a brand new Fortnite leak revealed a potentially new summer vehicle coming to the game. As Fortnite players will know, the game is synonymous at this point for constantly adding new cosmetics and content to keep players hooked.
Just recently, Fortnite unveiled an Attack on Titan crossover and then, to celebrate Chapter 4 Season 2’s improved graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 5, Fortnite unveiled a cyberpunk-inspired city called Mega City.
One thing Fortnite has done since its debut in 2017 is come out with a big, flashy summer update filled with many new skins, cosmetics and limited-time content that all fit with the summer theme. This year’s summer update doesn’t yet have a release date, but it is coming, and now, thanks to a leak shared by HYPEX on Twitter, we might know what vehicle is heading to the game.

In the leak, players can see a surfboard that is thought to be coming in the summer update, similar to the hoverboard that came out with the Fortnite: Save the World update. Since the leak arrived, many Fortnite players have taken to Twitter to air their excitement and scepticism.
Many players are excited about a new vehicle as each ride has set a precedent of adding a new level of difficulty and fun to the game. However, many of these vehicles are only available for a limited time before being vaulted or scrapped altogether.
The scepticism expressed by some Twitter users comes down to the leaker not being reliable with vehicle leaks, having presented leaks in the past that never managed to make their way into the game. Currently, Epic Games has neither confirmed nor denied anything. Until the summer content arrives, players will have to wait and see.
