You Can Now Pay To Turn Your Valorant Guns Into Counter-Strike Guns

In a strange yet conveniently timed collaboration of sorts, Valorant’s new cosmetic bundle, The Black Market pack, lets players turn their Valorant Guns into Counter-Strike staples. Yup, you read that right.

The Black Market bundle is pretty much the exact opposite of Valorant’s typical skins, downplaying the neon and craziness in favourite of transforming the default Valorant guns into their Counter-Strike equivalents.

Simply put, this means that The Vandal will become an AK-47, The Bulldog a FAMAS, The Marshal a Scout, The Classic a Glock-18 and finally, the knife will become a butterfly knife.

And for anyone reading this and shaking their heads at me, thinking this is just a coincidence, the ‘coincidence’ doesn’t end there. The Black Market bundle further references Counter-Strike by changing each skin’s appearance when attacking or defending, much like terrorist/counter-terrorist in Counter-Strike.

Since announcing the new cosmetic pack, there have been decidedly mixed reactions, with many fans of the game taking to Twitter to openly wonder if this is a sign that Riot is freaking out about the newly-announced Counter-Stike 2. In contrast, others love this feeling of collaboration between the games.

However, one complaint about the bundle is hard to ignore, many players are airing their disappointment that the attack/defence skin-swapping feature is set to be exclusive to this bundle after fans have been begging Riot for a similar feature that works for any skin for years, but according to Riot, it hasn’t been possible thanks to potential strains on hardware requirements.

What do you think about this new bundle? Will you be shelling your hard-earned gold coins on it? Let us know.
