Apex Legends but Single Player?

In the latest supposed Apex leaks, we’ve got an interesting-looking Limited Time Mode up and coming. Rumble Royale. According to data miner/renowned Apex Leaker ThordanSmash; It’s 100% real.

According to previous rumours and leaks, the community has given us a bit of an idea of what Rumble Royale seems to be. One, it’s a PvE experience rather than a PvP one. A little bit different to what we’re used to from Apex, but interesting.

Two, they’ve removed the legend’s abilities, meaning you’ll just have to use your own skill to get through the map. They have given us a few pickups to use though, to give us a little boost: 

  • Stim: Increases movement speed and health regeneration, but also increases damage taken and lowers your vision.
  • Cloak: Makes you invisible but also silences your weapons and footsteps.
  • EMP: Disables enemy electronics and shields, but also damages you and alerts enemies of your location.
  • Berserk: Increases melee damage and knockback but decreases weapon accuracy and range.
  • Swap: Swaps your position and loadout with an enemy but alerts them of your position.

The wording of “cloak” seems a little odd as everything has a negative to it, so we’re not yet sure what the negative impact of silenced weapons and footsteps would be.

Three, there are no pre-set load-outs, You spawn into the game with a randomized weapon and attachments. The leaks do seem to hint that you can pick up weapons from killed enemies, but no weapons from anywhere else. Finally, things seem entirely random, the map you play on, the weapon you get, the anomalies in game, the ring, if there even is one in this mode, and the wildlife you’ll face.

Perhaps a PvE experience may give us a little bit of a Titan Fall vibe than the Apex one we’re used to. Of course, these are all just rumours and leaks so anything and everything could change, but it is exciting to see Apex playing around with an interesting new game mode.
