If there is one upcoming game I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it’s the much-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 which is now only a few short weeks away. I’ve been following the game since it was first announced and like many of you have been on the edge of my seat waiting for any new information about the game to come out.
Thankfully I don’t have to wait much longer because, during the Capcom Spotlight event, it was announced that a playable demo, aptly dubbed the “Chainsaw Demo” is available to play from today and it will allow players to explore the first section of the game. The demo is available on all the same platforms the game will be releasing on so PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam and there is no time cap on how long players can spend in it.
But if demos aren’t really your thing and you’d rather experience the game when it releases for the first time Capcom has another trick up their sleeve. Alongside the demo, a new teaser website for the Resident Evil 4 Remake also went live, and man, oh man is it filled with riddles, puzzles, and a whole bunch of backstory for fans to uncover.
Once you head on over to the interactive website, you’d be presented with Agent Greene of the Secret Service Northeastern Division who tells you that the president’s daughter, codenamed Baby Eagle, has been kidnapped. It’s now up to you to piece together all the fragments of data to help find out where Baby Eagle is.
The website is filled with puzzles from having you put together shredded documents to unlocking phones and finding codes. If you want to start exploring the world of the Resident Evil 4 Remake before the game launches, this is the perfect way to do that.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will be launching on the 24th of March for PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S, and there is also a completely free VR mode being developed for the PSVR 2.
Now if you’ll excuse me, Baby Eagle isn’t going to rescue herself.
