Another day and another rumour about Grand Theft Auto 6. At this point, I don’t even remember a time in my life when talk and whispers about Grand Theft Auto 6 wasn’t a constant hum on the internet. I’m sure I remember people getting excited for Grand Theft Auto 6 before five was even released. Year in and day out, it’s a rumour that never seems to die.
However, today’s entry into the never-ending Grand Theft Auto 6 buzz comes from a slightly more credible and notable figure than many of the other whispers. Today we’re talking about 50 Cent.
Now imagine my surprise when I was scrolling through Instagram, minding my own business and definitely working, not browsing Instagram, when I came across this image posted by the rapper:
Along with the even more compelling caption:

Now there is little chance that 50 Cent didn’t know what he was doing or implying when he posted the picture, as gamers worldwide have been screaming about their want for Grand Theft Auto 6 from rooftops. A decade after five was released, gamers are more ready than ever.
With the rapper choosing to post a picture of Vice City with the caption “bigger than Power”, which is the name of his TV show on Starz, many have taken to the comment section of his post to ask if he is implying Grand Theft Auto is being adapted for television. However, Rockstar Games has been resistant to the idea of an adaptation in the past, but who knows? With video game adaptions like The Last of Us out in the wild, maybe they’ve had a change of heart.
Only time and probably 50 Cent will tell whether or not this is a hint at Grand Theft Auto 6, an adaptation or neither but say what you want; this is the most “official” hint at a follow-up game we’ve had in a good long while.
