This morning Sony announced its brand new Festival of Play for PlayStation Plus. During this event, PS Plus Subscribers will be able to grab some extra discounts and rewards as well as enjoy some game trials for free. But this festival isn’t only for PS Plus Subscribers, PlayStation 5 owners who aren’t subscribed will be able to play online for free, try their luck in a contest, and participate in tournaments. It’s a festival, after all!
For those looking to jump straight into the thick of things, The PlayStation Plus Festival of Play is starting right now and will continue until February 24. On today’s festival agenda, PS Plus Subscribers will be able to play God of War Ragnarok for three hours as part of the trial. They will also be able to participate in the Double Discount promotion and unlock unique digital collectables available in the PlayStation Stars Campaign.
The Festival of Play is part of a bigger drive by Sony to introduce more players to its subscription model, and holding the festival now makes perfect sense as the list of games available for PS Plus Subscribers this month includes huge titles like Horizon Forbidden West, Resident Evil 7, Borderlands 3, and Tekken 7.
