It’s an exhilarating day for Amplitude’s Endless series fans because the next game in the beloved series has officially been announced: Endless Dungeon. For those who aren’t Endless superfans, Endless Dungeon will serve as a follow-up to 2014’s Dungeon of the Endless.
However, even though it will follow Dungeon of the Endless, it won’t be a sequel. At least not genre-wise. Where Dungeon of the Endless was a roguelike tactical RPG with a bit of tower defence thrown in, Endless Dungeon seems to be a twin-stick shooter, mainly with a bit of tower defence sprinkled throughout.
Amplitude has come out and assured players they will continue to support Endless Space 2 even with Endless Dungeon on the horizon. They are currently working on a patch for Endless Space 2, focusing on the last DLC, Awakening, and some bug fixing and balance.
The long-awaited comic series, Endless Space 2 Stories, published through Titan Comics, will also start its publishing run on March 7th. While you wait for all of this epicness, Dungeon of the Endless is currently available for free for Steam users.
All you need to do is head over to Amplitude’s website and sign up for an account. After that, simply scroll to the rewards page, and boom, a free Steam copy of Dungeon of the Endless, some DLC and other freebies as well.
Endless Dungeon will release on May 14th and can be pre-ordered on both Epic Games and Steam.
