PlayStation Will Be Announcing 3rd Party Content Soon According To Retired Leaker

Well, isn’t today just the day for rumours? If I didn’t know any better, I’d say I was back in high school again, trying to convince everyone that my deteriorating eyesight was due to the hours upon hours spent playing games and reading books in bad lighting and not, in fact, due to… other reasons.

Anyway, this is about PlayStation’s rumours, not mine, so let’s focus, please. According to the rumour, PlayStation will soon be announcing some third-party content – probably at its next State of Play event.

In previous years, the State of Play showcases were usually smaller events focused on smaller games; however, in 2022, Sony changed this formula and instead focused on some big reveals and trailers such as Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy 16 and others.

But now it looks like Sony will return to its previous third-party content-centric events. This rumour comes to us straight from a retired but reliable leaker known online as The Snitch. Like the Valve leak, The Snitch took to Discord and revealed that they had received a DM confirming Sony’s plans and that it was from a reliable source.

The previous State of Play showcase took place in September 2022.

Rumours have also been up in the air for a while now concerning a Metal Gear Solid remake, so Sony is likely also gearing up for that reveal soon.
