Blizzard's Fourth Overwatch 2 Hero Revealed

Blizzard’s Fourth Overwatch 2 Hero Revealed

It might be hard to believe, but this past weekend Blizzard unveiled the next hero that will be joining the Overwatch 2 lineup, the leader of Null Sector, Ramattra. It might seem like just yesterday that Overwatch 2 was released, but believe it or not, Ramattra will officially mark the fourth new hero introduced since Overwatch 2’s launch. He will join the ranks of Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko.

In the character’s lore, Ramattra is the leader of the organization Null Sector. Much like Zenyatta, Ramattra is a Shambli monk. He no longer sees the option of peacefully advocating for the rights of Omnics.

Initially a war machine, Ramattra shed his munitions for a shield to protect his people by promoting peace and tranquillity. Blizzard also revealed that the champion would have two separate but swappable forms, his Omnic form and his Nemesis form.

When players choose the Omnic form, it will be a poke-centric playstyle with some range and good team protection abilities. However, in the Nemesis form, players can more easily rush down enemies, charge into the action and essentially, be a war machine.

So far, all Blizzard has revealed for the upcoming hero is a cinematic trailer showcasing the character’s backstory and origins. This is a great way to engage the community and share the world’s lore in a fun and digestible way.
