Krafton Inc. has recently announced a partnership with Behaviour Interactive which will see both PUBG Battlegrounds and PUBG New State feature the horror franchise Dead by Daylight.
For those who are unfamiliar, Dead by Daylight is a competitive asymmetric multiplayer game in which one powerful Killer battles four Survivors as they attempt to escape a nightmare arena.
The partnership brings a two-month event that kicks off next Wednesday, October 19th on PC and October 20th on consoles, and runs through to December 7th and 8th respectively. The event features a host of Dead by Daylight-themed cosmetics for players to earn:
• Costumes (x4 sets)
• Masks (x4)
• Backpack Skins (x3)
• Pan Skin
• Nameplate
For a limited time, players can also experience the iconic Dead by Daylight hide-and-seek in-game web event. Accessing the mode through the in-game lobby banner, four players participate where there will be one Killer and three Survivors. By utilizing recurring themes from Dead by Daylight, such as throwing objects to distract and avoid the Killer, survivors must repair Generators scattered throughout the map in order to power up the Exit Gates.
Participating in the limited-time mode also nets you some rewards, just for playing the mode once you get a ‘Dwight Unknown’ Lone Survivor Outfit Code, which can be redeemed in Dead by Daylight. Playing the mode five times earns you a Dead by Daylight-themed spray item and lastly, if you accumulate at least 10 total kills as a Killer you’ll receive The Nurse (Dead by Daylight character) mask.
Players can obtain exclusive Dead by Daylight cosmetic items during the collaboration to add some frightening horror to their Halloween costumes this year. From October 20 to November 23, all players will have access to Dead by Daylight-themed in-game items and collaboration crates.
Dead by Daylight’s developer Behaviour Interactive has added more than 10 Killers added to the game in previous crossovers, unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, PUBG Battlegrounds players should expect only original Dead by Daylight characters to appear in the crossover.
