Logitech G Cloud, AAA Games in your hands!

The Logitech G Cloud is official and is being released this month! The handheld cloud gaming device developed in partnership with Tencent was first announced back in August, but we got our first look a month ago when images of the device were leaked on Twitter. Logitech then made the device official at their 2022 LogiPlay event a couple of weeks later.

There doesn’t appear to be any differences between the leaked images and the official ones, Logitech even used one of the leaked images as part of their marketing material for the device.

Logitech G Cloud features a Full HD 1080p 7-inch touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 12+ hour battery life combined with a lightweight design that will have you gaming for hours.

You’ll have plenty of reason to do so as the device is compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link and GeForce now, giving you the ability to put the AAA games from your pc/console into your hands, allowing you to play anywhere you have a Wi-Fi connection.

The Logitech G Cloud runs Android 11 with Google Play being supported, allowing you to also download games from the Google Play app.

There is one noticeable downside which is that there is no native support for 5G. Meaning you must maintain a strong Wi-Fi connection in order to play your games.

The Logitech G Cloud is priced at $349 (approx. R6,150), and pre-orders for the device have started already at a special price of $299 (approx. R5,260). This price is available until the 12th of October, with the device being available the following week on the 18th of October.

Not much is known about when the device will be landing in South Africa and what the local pricing might look like, so stay tuned to NAG for further updates!
