Devolver Digital have just announced that we’ll be returning to Monkey Island once again. This time in a new game by Ron Gilbert that picks up where Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge left off.
In the tweet late on Monday afternoon, the company also pointed to the website: returntomonkeyisland.com
The game will be published in collaboration with Lucasfilms Games and fans of the original series will appreciate the original co-writer Dave Grossman is also working on this game.
There is not much more to say about the announcement yet other than that Gilbert also posted a tweet saying the company has been working on this project in complete secrecy for the past two years. Well done team, that was no easy feat, I am sure.
A little something we’ve been working on for the past 2 years in complete secrecy.https://t.co/qwmxpYjpe5
