Anyone hardwired into all things Samsung will know that we are close to witnessing the unveiling of Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy products, and tomorrow, 11 August, is that day.
“Get ready to unfold” is the heading in my calendar, so, the focus is undoubtedly on the foldable ecosystem and, in an article released by Dr TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, he reminded us about the strategy he announced last year, to “bring more empowering technology to as many people as possible, especially at a time when they needed it most”.
Samsung is always striving to place the very best technology in the hands of their customers, and, as we see the world slowly emerge from global lockdowns, the need for personalisation and versatility will be key. This means the collaboration between Microsoft and Google announced last year, will no doubt, enjoy the spotlight tomorrow.
Dr Roh went on to say that, “open ecosystems are the only way to accelerate innovation and give people more freedom to create their own experiences that are best for their lifestyles”.
Multiple screens on a mobile device certainly seems a perfect fit for more people, today more than ever, right? So seeing the next iteration of the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, is going to be interesting indeed. Sadly, no more Note series, so that can only mean that the S Pen will be expanded to more of the Samsung offerings. That said, I will miss securing an S Pen inside a phone, rather than a phone cover.
The Galaxy Watch4 launch is also expected tomorrow and will no doubt focus on health as it monitors things such as oxygen levels in our blood.
